The Starwood custom homebuilding process is built to be clear and enjoyable. We start with the pre-construction process and will even help you select an architect and designer. Then, we transition to discovery and planning, documentation and coordination, and ending with a highly managed build and delivery. Clients choose Starwood for our meticulous attention to detail and a "white glove" level of service.
The best time to reach out to Starwood is before you choose an architect and before major design decisions are finalized. That way, we can help you confirm feasibility, timeline considerations, and the right next steps. We can also give you a better understanding of true pricing and other key details during the early stages. But if you already have plans, we can still join the process where you are. Yes. Most of our clients already own the land we build on. If you already have a lot, we can evaluate how it supports your goals. Then, we will build a custom home that fits the site, the views, and your lifestyle.
The short answer is: it depends. Timelines vary based on architecture, permitting, site conditions, home size, and level of customization. But most luxury custom homes take between 4 to 6 months for the planning and design process, followed by between 12 to 18 months for construction and completion. After a quick conversation about your location and goals, we can provide a more accurate range for your home.
